Announcing the 2014 DABWAHA Nominees!

We are now ready to announce the 2014 DABWAHA (Dear Author Bitchery Writing Award for Hellagood Authors) Finalists as determined by the posse at SmartBitches and the gals at Dear Author.

You may notice that there are only 7 books in each category. This is not because Sarah is bad at math (even though she is).

This is because the 8th book is determined by youThe nomination form is here.

ETA: Please note: due to requests for an ASIN (Amazon identifier) field, I’ve added a field to the nomination form. If you wanted to nominate a book that only had an ASIN and not an ISBN, for a limited time (about 24 hours) you may re-enter your nominations.

Remember, only 2013 books qualify.  In other words, the book MUST have a publication date of 2013. No exceptions, no reprints, no paperback version of 2012 hardcovers.

  1. Sure do wish you had a Romantic Suspense category.
I guess those books would now be considered –what? Strong Romantic Element? Contemporary??

  2. I completed my nomination form for DABWAHA but the system would not allow me to enter the ASIN number for the books that are digital only so I deleted and left that section blank.

  4. I submitted an entry for Contemporary Romance. Then afterwards I thought of a Series/Category romance that I wanted to enter, but it wouldn’t accept it because my email address had already been used. So make sure you know all the categories to fill in the first time, as you can’t go back and fill in a different one!

  5. Hey folks! First: if you were having problems because you wanted to nominate a book but only had an ASIN number, I’ve edited the form to add the ASIN field. PLUS: I’ve opened the form to re-submissions, so if you’d like to resubmit your nominations, you have about 24 hours to do so. Yay!

@Barb in Maryland: funny you should say that. I had been trying to figure out if this year we should re-arrange the categories to create a romantic suspense category, but decided it wouldn’t work for this year. Perhaps next year we can make it work!

  7. I was going to proofread the ones that I submitted to see if I entered the right ISBN numbers but wasn’t sure how to find it… let me know if there was a problem!
