  1. I’m sorry, Gena! I love you, but I loved Bayou Moon more than Twice as Hot!

    I wish I didn’t have to choose!

  2. Is there something wrong with the Tournament summary. When I click on the pencil, it says His at Night had more votes, but Trial By Desire advanced. Here’s what the vote tally says when you click on the pencil:

    His at Night
    #5 seed
    Picked by 719

    Trial by Desire
    #12 seed
    Picked by 632

  3. Hmm. Okay, so, if I read both books, I voted for the one I liked the best. If I read one book and didn’t care to bother to read the other book, I voted for the one I read. If I didn’t read either book, but want to read one and not the other, I voted for the one I want to read. If I didn’t read either, and never even heard of them, I didn’t vote. If I didn’t read either book, but want to read Both of them, I didn’t vote there either. Hey, at least I have a voting system…

  4. @Kim: I think those numbers reflect the number of people playing in the tournament who selected those books to advance. But in the actual voting, “Trial by Desire” received more votes, so that’s the book that advanced. So, even though more people thought that “His at Night” would advance, the winner in that matchup was “Trial by Desire.” (If you check the Round 1, Set 1 results, you can see that it was a very hard-fought match–”Trial by Desire” won by three votes!).

  5. Cheering for Karina Bliss and Julie James this round! And damn choosing between Ilona Andrews and Gena Showalter was tough.

  6. My voting system has been blasted to smithereens by the bribes and trash talking. Bring on the 2nd chance tourney!

    P.S. – will vote for ARC’s

  7. @Kim – the others are correct. The Tournament Summary page shows how many times a book was picked to advance to the next round. The Tournament Results page shows the actual winner as do the closed polls here on the blog.

  8. Wow, there is like no way that Things I know About Love would beat Spirit Bound. I almost feel for TIKAL.
